BILLING POLICY FOR PATIENTS ON A VALID SOUTH AFRICAN MEDICAL AID

The practice is a DSP of most major medical aids. This rate will be covered fully by some schemes, while others will require a co-payment on the part of the patient. Co-payment will be determined by the benefits applicable to the scheme option of the patient. Most specialist consultations are paid from the patient’s savings, if not, the patient is liable for the outstanding amount.

BILLING POLICY FOR LASIK/ PRK AND STREAMLIGHT SURGERY

For these patients there is no third-party payments and the full responsibility for the costs of the consultation/ procedure rests with the patient. All surgical procedures must be paid in full prior to the patient’s admission to the Laser Clinic. All rooms procedures must be paid in full on the day of the procedure. The practice does not offer any instalment options.
